No matter how beautiful the place is, if you are visiting every year for fun, this might become not too much entertaining as it was in your first visit. People only visit the same place every year either they have any emotional attachment to that place or they haven’t any other options. Nevertheless, we travelers in India have a plethora of choices and these are some suggestions from us:
Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh
Ziro is underrated; we know most of our visitors haven’t even heard about it before. For the peace seekers, this place is heaven. It is beautifully situated between the mountains and aesthetically holds the rice fields. The green folding hills and the quaint village make Ziro a perfect place to stay for a while.
It’s a river island. It is the largest in Asia and situated in the fresh water of Brahmaputra. Your visit to there will be the most memorable moment of your life. Unfortunately, you cannot take this place for granted. The constant soil erosion will destroy the island in the next 15 to 20 years. We should do something to save this gem. We know our media; it cannot be useless than ever. We should stand for Majuli.
Lepcha Jagat, West Bengal
Around 19 km away from Darjeeling, still very few people know about this place. This makes sad but not all the people. There is a simple way, fewer travelers more peace. The place is amazingly wonderful. The scenic view of Kangchenjunga, and trees all around, make this place a peaceful destination.
Mandu, Madhya Pradesh
Why you haven’t heard about this place? You will find the finest architecture of the ancient world. The city is forted by stone walls and inside is the gems representing astonishing Afghani architecture. There are many things to explore and later regret why this place is ruining and ignored by both people and the government of India. Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, a doomed mausoleum, and a massive Jama Mosque is the notable attraction to see.
Kaas Plateau, Maharashtra
25 km in the west from Satara District, this place comes to know only when UNESCO declared it as World Natural Heritage in 2012. Now, you can comfortably take to tour to this place – the transportation has improved but who cares if we are trekkers.
Not very far from Myanmar, fortunately, this place lies in India. Besides its exhilarating beauty, there is also ancient monuments and monoliths that describes the history of Mizoram. You need to apply for an inner permit from Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong or Silchar then only the Mizoram house can accept your stay.
